Welcome Our Managing Director
Management and the Board of GEO-MIK Consultants Africa wish to inform the general public, clients and our esteemed partners of the appointment of our new Managing Director, Mrs. Margaret Namala Walusimbi who joined April 2020 to provide strategic leadership at GEO-MIK Consultants Africa Uganda office. Margaret brings extensive experience of over 30 years of professional service in public sector from 1991 to 2018 having worked at the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development in Uganda during which she held specific senior responsibilities including; provision of technical knowledge for the orderly and progressive spatial planning, boundary and subdivision planning, carried out audits, inspection, coordination, research in land use and spatial planning at national, regional, urban and local levels. Margaret also adds relevant training experience to GEO-MIK strategic leadership having attained a Master of Science Degree in Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation Specializing in Planning and Land Administration, ITC The Netherlands, a post graduate Degree in Urban Governance and Management, Uganda Management Institute, Bachelors’ Degree in Urban Planning, Makerere University Kampala, Diploma in Cartographic Technology, ITC The Netherlands, Diploma in Architectural Draughtsmanship, Uganda Technical College Kyambogo and Diploma in Cartography, Survey Training School – Entebbe, Uganda. We wish Margaret the best of luck as she assumes this Nobel assignment as the Managing Director at GEO-MIK in line with our Vision of the Organization to “Become an international pillar and hub for geo-information technology, land and strategic spatial development planning solutions in Africa”.
